In order to be able to grow your business’ social media, you need to construct an effective social media plan. There are many aspects to think about and questions that you need to ask yourself about your business and the image and reputation that you are aiming for. Here are a few things I would consider:
Once you have answered these questions, you should be able to gain an understanding of how you will approach your social media campaigns. You will be able to figure out which direction you will be going in in order to grow and develop your business’ image and client base.
Now that you know what you need to be focussing on when dealing with social media, you need to think about the actual content that you’re putting out to your clients. I have put together a “powerful” social media growth acronym to ensure that you are releasing content that ensures growth and development for your business’ social media and client engagement.
P - precise
This means that you’re ensuring that the content you’re creating is very specific to your target audience and hits all the right goals that you are wanting to achieve. Being more precise and clear enables your clients to build an image of your brand and what exactly it is that you’re offering. This will be more memorable and will encourage an increase in clients being drawn to your business.
O - Opportunist
You are making sure that you are implementing a call to action with each posts. This is a statement or a message that drives the audience to your website or just directs them to engage with your business. This is essential when you are trying to grow your business and client base.
W - Widespread
Whilst you’re being specific as to what your business image is within your content, you’re also wanting to make sure that you appeal to a wide audience in order to increase the interest in your business for a wider range of clients or potential clients.
E - Engaging
Obviously, making sure that your content is engaging is very important. You can do this in many ways - one example is to make sure you’re tagging and mentioning people such as current clients who will provide you with good connections to potential clients.
A great way to increase engagement and get your audience to interact with your content, is to ensure that you're asking questions to your clients or providing a reason to comment under your posts.
R - Relatable
In order to ensure your clients are engaged, keeping your content relatable and relevant to your clients is important. You will really need to research and understand your client base to do this effectively.
F - Frequent
Posting regularly will keep your clients interested in and informed on your business and what you are aiming to achieve and provide for them. There are many ways that you can ensure that you are posting content regularly - there is software that you can use to schedule your posts ahead of time and stay on top of all of your social media.
U - Urgent
It is effective to have some sort of feature included in your posts to ensure that people are acting quickly and creating some sort of urgency to drive traffic to your business or your website. This will improve the speed of your results being produced and will help to ensure that your client base and audience is always growing at a good rate.
L - Link
Ensuring that you’re linking the post and the content back to your website in order to make that connection for your social media audience to become potential clients.
