The team here at WillSuite have been able to celebrate some fantastic achievements over the last year. We’ve had over half a million wills drafted through the system, delivered the software to over a thousand legal professionals and we released our fully featured client portal.
With these milestones in mind, why don’t we take a look back to where it all started?
The concept and idea for WillSuite was brought to life all the way back in 2014, during which time many estate planning professionals relied on templates and in some cases, outdated processes to draft and manage their clients. WillSuite’s CEO Seb Shakh saw this firsthand while working adjacent to a local solicitors firm, who for the most part used out of date software that would only run on old hardware. The kind of questions that inspired the development of what we know as WillSuite today was, “What kind of software could make all this more efficient?” and “How can this process be modernised for any system?"
2014 to 2015 was spent developing the software with the purpose of creating a software that has everything an estate planning professional would need in one intuitive package, this includes core elements like:
The team at WillSuite have since built on many of these core elements to bring a wide range of different features to the current system, with a huge focus on customisability so each user experience feels bespoke.
With the launch of the software in 2015, WillSuite began being used by many estate planning professionals looking to modernise and be more efficient in their work. With the user-base growing, so did the team. WillSuite would go on to partner with multiple different regulatory bodies, becoming an endorsed software for estate planning work.
From 2015-2017, WillSuite grew exponentially through user-feedback, suggestions and innovation. During the early part of 2020, our attention quickly shifted to delivering the tools and features vital for professionals working throughout COVID-19. Throughout the year we released features like our Zoom integration and the option to print, bind and send documents to clients, all through the software.
Since then, we’ve focused on improving the user experience, adding more features and listening to our user-base to make WillSuite even better.
